Providence Bruins’ goalie Jordan Sigalet receives the AHL’s Fred T. Hunt Memorial award for dedication and sportsmanship after returning to the ice on January 11. In that game against the San Jose Sharks Goalie Sigalet stopped all 18 shots he faced in 36 minutes of play. It was the Sharks he last played before collapsing in the crease from an M.S. related crisis.

“It was special,” Sigalet said at the time of returning to game action against Worcester, the team he had last faced. “It kind of gave me a chance to finish the game I started back in November.”

See Sigalet’s website: shutoutms.com, where he raises awareness and money in the battle against Multiple Sclerosis, working through his partnerships with EMD Serono and the Rhode Island Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
